Problem Management
Problems document underlying causes for one or more incidents. Use them when the same failure pattern repeats or root cause is not yet known.
Requires the Problems module (see Permissions).

Open Problems (
/problems) and click New, or create from an incident detail page. -
Enter title, description, and priority.

Link related incidents on the problem record for full context.

Update status as investigation progresses (e.g. root cause analysis, workaround known).

Close the problem when the underlying issue is resolved or accepted.
