Change Types
When creating a change (/changes/new), select a change type that reflects risk and approval requirements.
Standard
Section titled “Standard”- Low risk, often pre-authorized in policy
- Minimal approval steps when configured
- Suitable for routine tasks with documented runbooks
Normal
Section titled “Normal”- Default for most production work
- Requires designated approvers before implementation
- Use when impact spans multiple assets or sites
Emergency
Section titled “Emergency”- For urgent remediation (outage, safety, active incident)
- Emergency reason is mandatory in the form
- May shorten approval paths per tenant rules — still fully audited
